The farm of Castello Monticelli has in the plain about 4 hectars of good arable land (about 1.000 acres). It has also about 4 hectars of wood on the slopes of the hill. In the plain the organic vegetable garden occupies 1,6 hectars, of which half an hectar is devoted to blackberry and raspberry plantation. In the rest of the land in the plain the farm grows alfalfa and fruit and olive trees.
The farm is classified as an organic farm. The vegetables are used mainly for the restaurant and sold to the guests in self catering. In the medium run, as soon as the berries, the fruits and the olives will be available, they will be bottled with the label “Castello Monticelli”.
